The Many Faces of Miss Emily

Hello Everyone, hope this finds you all well. Little Miss Emily is starting to smile more and we just wanted to share some of the magic with you. She makes so many cute and funny faces that you can only capture so many on film. Here are a few of our favorites!

I headed back to work on Tuesday so that has been hard for all of us. I am thankful I get to come home everyday to a beautiful wife and baby but it is hard to not miss them a lot while at work. Ann will be going back a week from Sunday, so I know that will be even harder for her. Lora is coming back into town next Friday so we are really looking forward to having all her help and excited to see how the baby has grown.

The nights are getting a little more "regular" for Emily but she is still very confused about when to sleep, when to eat and when to cry. Hopefully she can start "getting it" if you will and let mom and dad get more sleep at night.

Bitter Blast and Starting to grow out of clothes ...

In addition to the ice cold weather lately ("bitter blast"per one local newstation), the big news around the Weiss household is that Miss Emily is starting to grow out of some of her newborn clothes. It seems she is just getting too long to fit into some of the smaller onesies. We recently picked up a lot of 3-6 month onesies while my parents were in town, so thank goodness for that!

Laura's Last Day in Milwaukee

We all said goodbye to Laura today as she travels back to Philly for her last semester of law school. We had a great time while she was here and look forward to future visits. Thanks for all the wonderful memories Laura - Emily already misses ya!

Family made it safe and sound

The entire Weiss clan is now in snowy Milwaukee for the week. Emily was happy to finally meet the rest of the Utah Weiss's even though she was a little bit sassy most of the day yesterday. Today we plan to hang out and hang out some more.

Chunky Monkey!

9 lbs 5 oz!

Hi All, we had our 1 month visit today. Miss Emily now weighs 9 lbs 5 and 1/2 oz. Can you believe it! She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz two and a half weeks ago. Our pediatrician says she is looking great on exam and doing everything a little baby her age should do. She did get a little poke today for a routine immunization.

After the visit we celebrated her 1 month visit by going to Buffalo Wild Wings where her father managed to eat a veritable cornucopia of fried foods. Mmmmm! The Weiss family arrives tomorrow night and Emily cant wait to meet her Aunt Laura and Grandpa Weiss!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyon! Hope you are having a good 2009 so far. We closed out 2008 by having a nice spagetti dinner complete with a little red sparkling champange, watching a movie and going to bed at 9pm :)

Emily is getting bigger by the day. Both Ann and I are starting to get sore forearms after holding her. We have our next pediatrician appointment on Monday so we will let you know what she weighs! Until then, take care and have a great 2009. love, aaron, ann and emily
