Emily's Big Day

Today was Emily's baptism at St. Sebastian's down the street from our house. Both Grandmothers were there and Aunt Cathy came all the way from Florida for the special occasion since she is one of Emily's Godparents.  Mary, Ann's sister, is Emily's other Godparent but she couldn't be here with us from Idaho, so Grandma Keidel was her stand-in :)

Both Gram Weiss and Aunt Cathy flew in on Friday night and we had a wonderful, but short, weekend with them. Emily is now laughing, squawking and smiling a lot more so she managed to endear herself even more to her adoring visitors.

The weather really held out this morning and we were able to walk to the church. Once we got there it was fun to see the church still decorated for Easter and see the 3 other babies being baptised, all of whom were about 1/2 the size and age of Emily. Miss Em was very well behaved throughout and only cried briefly after the holy water was applied to her scalp and forehead. After anointment with oil, she was mesmerized by the lighting of her baptismal candle and shared a few smiles with the other parishioners.

Overall, it was a wonderful and unforgettable day.  We had to say our goodbyes earlier today but will see Gram and Gramps Weiss in June and hopefully will visit all our Florida family in the coming year.

Until then, we wish you all well and look forward to seeing you soon. Love, Emily, Ann and Aaron

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hope you all are having a wonderful and relaxing holiday with family and friends. We are taking it slow today and decided to take a few pics to share with you. Ann is currently doing night shifts so she is sleeping right now. Me, Emily and Lora are just hanging out and getting ready ready to cook a big ham dinner.

We are looking forward to Emily's baptism next weekend and a visit from both Gram Weiss and Aunt Cathy. Much love, Aaron, Ann, Lora and Emily

4 Months old!!!

Hi Friends and Family, it has been a while since we posted our last update. Emily is now 4 months old and getting even bigger and cuter. She is really starting to be more vocal, laughing with play and very smile-prone. She has started trying small amounts of rice cereal with success and hopefully will try some more soft foods in the coming months. She is getting very close to rolling over but hasn't quite made it yet. She doesn't enjoy tummy time too much so I am not sure what will happen once she actually rolls over. I think there will be a brief periodof surprise then lots of crying. Oh well. We will keep you updated!
